North American Fungaria

Below you will find a map of all of the North American fungaria that are willing to accept specimens from projects associated with the North American Mycoflora Project. Before you submit your registration, please select the fungarium you would prefer to have your specimens housed at permanately. This is often a herbarium that is close to the collection location or in the state where the majority of the collections will be made.  Additional information about each location can be found by clicking on the link at the marker. Feel free to reach out to the curator of the fungarium with any questions before you make your selection. We will also be contacting them once you indicate an interest in having your specimens located there. Participants without a strong preference can have their specimens housed at the Botanical Institute of Texas (BRIT).
